Driving Agentic Scale: adesso expands Operations to Pune and Chennai

adesso, one of Europe’s leading IT services and software development providers, today announced the strategic expansion of its Indian operations across Pune and Chennai. By bringing the adesso Agentic Scale initiative to these premier technology hubs, the company aims to support its global enterprise client base as they rethink where and how critical digital capabilities, intelligent automation, and software engineering are built.

This expansion addresses a fundamental shift in global delivery models. European organizations are moving away from traditional cost-reduction offshore models toward strategic Global Capability Centers (GCCs) that deliver co-innovation, bi-modal delivery, and embedded Agentic AI across the software engineering lifecycle.

By expanding across Pune and Chennai, adesso India combines Pune’s deep product engineering talent with Chennai’s strengths in enterprise data, AI, and cloud modernization. Alongside its established Kochi center, this establishes a pan-India talent pipeline of "agentic talent"—empowered teams bridging operational gaps directly with European corporate headquarters.

“Our subsidiary in India is a prime example of our approach to operating as a 'Global Local Player' in international markets”, says Mark Lohweber, CEO of adesso SE.

To scale its global delivery capabilities, adesso India leverages proprietary AI-driven development frameworks and autonomous software agents to industrialize delivery, while human expertise handles strategy, governance, and quality assurance. Powered by its adScaile approach and SaGE (SmartShore AI-Powered GCC/Global Engine) framework, adesso accelerates setup and delivery into rapid micro-cycles while ensuring enterprise-grade security, platform independence, and strict data governance.

The strength of this delivery model is already well-established in Chennai, with adesso handling end-to-end operations for the Exasol Tech Hub since 2025. Within five months of launch, capacity doubled to support the German analytics provider's expanding engineering needs. Highlighting this strategic milestone, Pramod Muralidharan, Managing Director of adesso India, stated:

"Today’s inauguration of our Pune and Chennai offices is a proud moment for the entire adesso India team. It reflects the remarkable progress we have achieved in a short span of time and underscores our AI-driven and autonomous enterprise ambition for the future. By strengthening our footprint across India, we are investing in the talent, capabilities, and innovation ecosystems needed to lead that transformation. Our new offices will serve as centers of excellence, enabling us to co-create intelligent solutions, accelerate innovation, and deliver lasting value for customers across the globe"

By deploying multi-agent AI systems alongside human expertise, adesso empowers global enterprises to move faster, protect intellectual property through European compliance standards, and accelerate complex digital transformations.
